The morning of our second day in London, Mike and I walked back up the South Bank and across the Thames to Buckingham Palace where we waited for the Changing of the Guards, which involved lots of shuffling and peppy music - it was a lot of fun! After that, we walked around St. James Park to see Big Ben, and then we headed up Whitehall for lunch. On the way back down to Westminster Abbey after lunch, we stopped by the Horse Guards and Downing Street. Westminster Abbey was really neat, and I’m really glad we went through it. In the evening we followed Rick Steves’ city walk back across London along the Strand and Fleet Street.
