That gorgeous flowering cactus was outside the housing buildings at the biosphere. Cacti really are quite amazing, and there is such a wide variety of them too. I never thought I would see so many different kinds.

This evening after work, I’m heading out of town to meet a friend from home who is currently living kind of near by (as in there’s about an 8 hour drive between us, but we’re still closer than we are when I’m at home or school). We’re meeting up at a town that’s somewhat in between us and spending the night, then Saturday we’re going to do some exploring before she has to head back mid-afternoon. It should be fun!

Sunday’s activities will not be quite so exciting. I’ll be job searching and ordering textbooks. Do I know how to have a good time or what? I am looking forward to having a more relaxing day though and getting some important things done. I had thought about going hiking on Sunday, but I have a lot of hikes planned for next week, and I really need to get those two things done.
